There are a ton of new CC products on HSN today! I'm featuring a couple of the new Sheena Douglass Christmas stamps: Festive Greetings and Christmas Snowdrops. I paired these stamps with the Snow Flurry embossing powder from Sara Davies Signature Collection, Festive Wonder.

I started by stamping the gorgeous rose cluster from Festive Greetings on CC's then using my Spectrum Noir Markers to color it. I used: BO2, BO3, BO4, CG3, DG4, DR7, EB6, JG1, JG4, MG2, MG3, MG5, YG1, YG2, YG3. Then I fussy cut it out.

Next, I stamped the sentiment from the Christmas Snowdrops set on a strip of white card stock. With a white card base, I ran the Snow Flurry embossing folder through my die cutting machine.

With Tea Dye Distress Ink I lightly inked the snowflakes with the ink. I adhered the sentiment strip to the card base and then the flowers on top.

You Rule with Art Impressions

Hello!!

I'm on the Art Impressions blog today! It's Back to School time of year, whether it's grade school, high school or college, lots of students are going back to school soon! (I'm one of them! But my first day isn't until August 28th! I had classes over the summer that ended this past week so I am now enjoying my 2-week summer vacation!!)

AI's Teacher Rule clear set is the perfect Back to School stamp set! Send a note to a new or experienced teacher!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions

I started with some red pattern paper and a ruler stencil by Tim Holtz. I used Black Soot Distress Ink to ink two rulers. I had originally inked four rulers across a panel, but as I put my card together decided to trim the panel so the white card base would show.

Next, I stamped the standing teacher and then colored her with my Spectrum Noir Markers. I used BP1, BT3, BT4, BT5, CR7, CR11, EB5, EB6, GT2, GT3, JG4, TN3, TN5, TN7, PP2, PP4, PP5, PP6. Then I fussy cut her out.

I added the two stenciled rulers to the left side of a white card base and then stamped the You Rule sentiment at the top right corner. With foam tape, I added the teacher.

Making Waves

Hello!!

We are in the tail end of summer so I have to share my summer themed cards before fall gets here!! Today's card features the Sally Swimmer Set and since I had the set out I made two so I could practice my skin coloring!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions
After stamping the images on white card stock I stamped them again on different pattern papers (x2). I paper pieced the floaty, bathing suit and cap, before adhering the different pieces I used my Spectrum Noir Markers and Copic markers to color these fun ladies!!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions

I used the following Spectrum Noir markers DR2, IG2, IG4, IG6, IG8, FS3, FS9, TN3. I keep trying with my SN markers but can never get it to look right. So when I remember (which isn't as often as I like!) I use a few Copic skin tone markers, for this lady I used E25, E57, E59.

After coloring and adding the piecing I fussy cut out both ladies. I kept a bit of white around each image. Next, I cut the wave pattern paper with a stitched rectangle and added them each to a white card base.

Then I cut two white stripes and stamped the sentiment in black ink. I added it to the card with foam tape, along with the images. Last I added a few matching dots.

Watercolor background with Art Impressions

Hello !!

I'm on the Art Impressions blog with two cards featuring the His & Hers Gardeners! I created a watercolor color background for each card and it was really easy!! If you already create with AI's Watercolor stamps you have the supplies to make your own watercolor background!!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions

I started by stamping most, if not all of the images from the His & Hers Gardeners clear set on white cardstock. With my Spectrum Noir markers, I colored them and then fussy cut them all out.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions

 For the Guy Gardner card, I used AP1, AP3, AP5, FS2, FS6, FS9, GY1, GY2, GY5, IG1, IG2, IG5, IG6, TN2. The Girl gardener I used in addition to the above AB1, AB2, AB3, TN9, TN8.

Next, I trimmed to panels of watercolor cardstock that would fit the card bases. With my images cut out, I could move them around on the panels to plan out what I wanted to paint and where.

For both, I started with the grown and worked my way up. The Guy Gardner got a tree, a bush and a little bit of grass along with a nice blue sky for the background of the scene. When it was dry I stamped the Howdy-hoe sentiment and added my colored images with foam tape.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions

For the Girl Gardner, I did a few bushes and the sky of course! I kept her background a little bit more simple because I was adding more colored images. I stamped the sentiment and the dot swirl and then added everything else with foam tape.

Last, both panels adhered to white card bases. The Girl Gardner card I did more simple (less layering/shading) and for the guy made it a little involved with the shading! Regardless of your skill level, any water coloring looks good!!

Washi Tape Background

Hello!!

I'm stopping by with a just for fun card I made last weekend! It's for a2zScrapbooking's Monthly Challenge! The challenge is Anything Goes and you have to use a Hero Art product. This challenge is perfect because I've had some new HA stamps waiting to be used!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Hero Arts
I started with Enjoy the Journey stamp set and stamped the bottle, then started stamping my scene with the ship and different elements in the set all inside the bottle. Off to the side, I stamped the cork and the Oh Ship! word bubble.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Hero Arts

With my Spectrum Noir Illustrator Markers I colored the images, I used: AB1, AB3, CR11, EB1, EB2, EB4, EB7, GT1, IG2, MB1, MB2, and Blender. I used IG 2 to shade the sails and the blender to lighten it up a bit. I also used a light blue Spectrum Noir ColourBlend pencil for the back ground. It's super light, I just wanted a hint of color in the sky, but the photo light washed it out!

Next, I fussy cut out the bottle, sentiment, and cork. I added sentiment bubble and cork to the bottle with foam tape.

Then on some tourquoise-y colored card stock, I added a few rows of different Washi Tape, very easy but lots of impact. I picked up this Washi Tape at Micheals it's a cool mermaid theme set! Next, I added the bottle to the card with foam tape and last stamped the I Forgot Your Birthday below the bottle.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!
