Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
I started by stamping the heart balloon in brown ink and then i colored with a mint Copic marker. I cut it out and set it aside. I new i had some mint pattern paper, i just had to find it!! LOL!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

As you can see i did find it, i settled on a mint and white pattern and added it to a white card base. I also cut a journal label from the pattern paper set, it is kraft with a brown heart. With brown ink i stamped the Enjoy The Fuss sentiment along the bottom of the journal label, then added it to my card base with foam dots.

I added some twine to the mint heart and then added the heart to the the card with foam dots. I used glue to wind the twine down, up, then down again. I tied another piece in a tiny bow and added it to the twine tail. Last i stamped the Celebrate You below the journal card.

The Alley Way Stamps - Sneak Peek #3

Hiya!!!

Its almost time for a new release at The Alley Way Stamps!! I'm sharing a Sneak Peek of the new set Oogles!! This set is soooo cute!! I made a card for a little boy perfect for valentines!!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
I started by die cutting dark blue card stock and a star pattern paper. I added the star paper (the scallop boarder) to a white card base, then i added the blue panel inside the boarder.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

Next i cut a strip of white card stock and used a couple spray inks to flick dots all over the strip. I cut the strip into two small pieces and stamped the sentiment, then they went on the card. Next i used a sentiment strip from Elle's Studio and placed it on the card with foam dots.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

Then i used my Silhouette to cut out the matching TAWS SVG file. I stamped the matching cute monster with memento ink and then colored him with Copic markers. I wanted to add googly eyes to the little monster, but i couldn;t find them so instead i used glossy accents over the eyes.

I added the little monster to my card with foam dots. Last i added two wood hearts and a wood arrow.

Happy Anniversary

Hello,

I'm popping in to share a card i made this weekend. I made it for the Altenew December Challenge, which is this photo inspiration:

I went with some of the colors and the butterfly. I started with a brown stripe pattern paper because i couldn't find a pattern similar to the photo inspiration. Looks like i also went a lot more brown then the photo, but that's what i get when i do it by memory!
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Altenew
Next i pulled out Painted Butterflies and inked up one of the butterflies on a light yellow card stock. I used a dark brown for the outline and a light brown for the inside, then i cut it out.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Altenew

I cut a strip of dark brown card stock and embossed the sentiment in white. I laid this over the stripes panel, then added a brown and gold medallion and the butterfly. I thought it still needed a little bit more gold so i added a strip of gold washi tape under the brown strip before adhering everything to my panel. Last i added the panel to a white card base.

Thanks for stopping by!! I'll be back tomorrow with a sneak peek of The Alley Way Stamps January Release.

Happy Anniversary

Hello!!

Today i'm playing along with the Runway Inspired Challenge #74. Because, well.... its orange dress, so i had to play along! (if you don;t know orange is my favorite color!!!) I was making a holder for my stickles with my Silhouette and it cut a ton of these circles. At first i placed the circles in my extras stash, but then i got to thinking that the orange card stock i used was perfect for this challenge!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Altenew
So i pulled out a white card base and glued on almost all of the circles, trimming ones that went over the edge. Next i stamped the poppy images from Altenew's Painted Poppy stamp set. I inked up most of the flower with black ink, except for the center, i used a red Distress Marker to color the flower center. I did this twice, then cut out both flowers.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Altenew
Next i cut a strip of white card stock and stamped the sentiment Happy Anniversary from the same set. Then i stamped the 'to the love of my life' underneath Anniversary coloring it with the red distress marker first.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Altenew

I added the flowers with foam dots, then the sentiment strip, trimming off the extra. I also had to trim a little of one of the flower stems.

Thanks for stopping by!! Have a wonderful day!!

Be Inspired Challenge #60- Take Two

Hello!

Today i'm sharing a card for The Alley Way Stamps Be Inspired Challenge #60. This is the LAST Be Inspired Challenge, instead of the challenge you can enter ANY new card in a special linkup on The Alley Way Stamps Blog for a chance to win a prize. This will start in January on the blog, look for this logo for the linkup:

Now on to my card (by the way you still have plenty of time to play along with this last challenge for your chance to win some stamps). This is the photo inspiration:

I got my inspiration from the Christmas tree and the colorful ornaments and packages. I imaged how it would be with some of those packages open. I started by stamping the chick from Chick Magnet. I stamped it again on a post it note, cut it out and placed it over the little chick. I did this again and again for each of the toys and presents. (i used a bunch of stamp sets to get all my toys and presents, the list is below!!)
Dana Warren -Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
Once i was done stamping and masking, i pulled out my distress markers and i colored it all up! Next i cut out along the top part of my images. Then i stamped the sentiment from Tickle Me Happy in the lower right corner. I was thinking this would be great for a kid to give to a grandparent as a Christmas thank you!

Dana Warren -Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

I found a neutral pattern paper and added it to a card base. Then i added the cut out image with foam dots along to the bottom of the card base, remember i just cut out the top part of the images.

Dana Warren -Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

Last stamped the little Santa hat from Bee Happy, i colored it up then cut it out. I added a little bit of Stickles to the white parts. Then i just added the hat to the little chick!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I can't wait to see your take on the photo inspiration!!

I Heart You

Hello!

I hope everyone is having a Happy Holiday!! I made a card for the Curtain Call Challenge a few days ago and am entering this at the last minute! The challenge is called Candy Cane. I was thinking of the red and white stripes of candy cane in the photo when i made my card (also thinking of Valentine's Day!) I am also entering this in Shopping Our Stash Red Alert Challenge since it turned out i used a bunch of red on my card!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Penny Black
I started by making my background first. I placed a stencil on a white card base and i used Distress paints for the first time. I learned that the paints don't work very well with stencils, the paint runs under the stencil. Even though i didn;t get the smaller stripes i still got stripes so i am happy with the background.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Penny Black

I set the card base aside to dry, then die cut a heart from white card stock. I stamped the cute Mimi image, then i inked up just a few hearts on the outer edges to fill in the rest of the heart. Then i colored her and the hearts with Copic markers.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Penny Black

Next i stamped and embossed the I Heart You sentiment in the bottom right. I thought the card was too red, so i trimmed the card base and added a strip of green on one side. Last i added the heart with foam dots.

I hope you have a wonderful day!! Happy Holidays!!!

Sending Season's Tweetings

Hello!

Today i'm sharing the last Christmas card of the year! I'm going to take a little break from Christmas cards but i want to have a big stash for next years craft sales, so in about a month or so i'll start making Christmas cards here and there!

I am submitting this card to Lawnscaping Challenge #96, the challenge this time is Merry Christmas.

I started by stamping the mail box and birdie, then colored them with Copics. I cut them out, then set them aside. Next i used a Sending word die and cut it out of gold glitter paper. I also cut out a ground from white card stock.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Lawn Fawn
I found some cream and red stripe pattern paper and added it to a white card base. I added the white ground, then adhered the mail box and birdie with foam dots. Next i added the 'Sending' with teeny tiny pieces of foam dots.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Lawn Fawn

I stamped the sentiment 'season's tweetings', first the season's then the tweetings on the other side of the G. The card needed something else so i stamped 3 envelopes, added a little shading with a grey Copic marker, then adhered them to my card. Last i used a Wink of Stella marker to make the envelopes sparkly!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Thoughts & Prayers

Hello!

Today i have a simple card to share. I attended a craft show a few weeks ago and sold a bunch of cards, including several sympathy cards. I needed to add a some to my stash, so i used The Alley Way Stamps new stamp set More Than Words.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
I used a light mint like card base and stamped the sentiment 'You Are in Our Thoughts & Prayers' in versamark ink. I embossed it with white embossing powder. Next i pulled out the flower stamp set Pick One and used a dot to stamp and emboss platinum colored dots.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

Next i used a grey ink to stamp 3 flowers around the sentiment. At this point i thought about other flowers to stamp, or maybe sequins to add, but instead i kept it simple (thinking less is more) and used a white opaque pen to add dots around the sentiment and flowers.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Ho Ho Ho

Hello!!!

I realized yesterday that i never blogged about this card and since it a Christmas card it needed to get up soon!! I made the actual card weeks ago, but i remember that i had used these square dies for another project and that's when i got the idea for this card!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Waffle Flower

I die cut 3 squares from some red and white chevron pattern paper. Next i cut out some belts and belt buckles with Waffle Flower's Santa Ad On Tag Die. Then i adhered them to the squares.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Waffle Flower

Next i added the squares to a white card base with foam dots. Then i used the Ho Ho Ho stamp from Waffle Flowers A Homemade Christmas stamp set, i stamped it under each square.

A very cute and easy card!!

Thanks for stopping by!!!

Love You to The Moon

Hello!!

Well, its FINALLY the end of the semester!!! Whoohooo!!! To celebrate i did some card making!!! (which i'm probably going to be doing a lot over the next month) I started my making a card using The Alley Way Stamps new stamp set More Than Words.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
I used my silhouette to cut out two small owls and a tree branch. I cut a circle from vellum, then covered the front with versamark ink, then with a paint brush added white perfect pearls to the circle. The perfect pearls gives the circle a cool metallic shine to it.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

I stamped the sentiment in versamark ink, then embossed it in white. I add the circle (or moon) to the card base, then added the branch and owl to the card with foam tape.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

I also had some tiny hearts that i colored them read then added them to the moon. Originally i had 3 (you know rule of 3 and everything) but i thought oh i'll use a little glue on the other side of the moon, it will dry clear, right?!...... but of course it didn;t so i had to add another heart!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!
