I Got You Cake

Hello!!

I'm on the Art Impressions blog today! AI has some hilarious stamps and the Old Goat Stamp Set is no exception! I just love the sentiment on my card today! So funny and goes so well with the goat on the cake image!!

I started by picking out some pattern paper. That way when I color my image I can match the colors if at all possible!! I picked a colorful polka dot pattern from Fancy Pants, Memories Captured pad. Then I used a stitched rectangle to cut it out.

Next, I stamped the goat image on some white cardstock and then used my Spectrum Noir Markers to color it. I used: AB1, AB2, AB3, AP1, AP2, AP3, BO2, BO3, BO4, DP2, DP3, DP4, EB5, EB6, EB7, GT2, GT3. Then I used a rounded stitched rectangle to die cut the image and did the same thing after stamping the sentiment.

I found some yellow backers twine that matched and wrapped it around my patterned panel and tied it in a bow. I adhered it to a white card base. Then I added the stamped image with foam tape and the sentiment off to the left of it, trimming off the overhand along the bottom.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Hello!!

Today is the last day for the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!! I'm just squeaking in with a second card! At the end of today I will have taken two exams, yesterday two exams, so yeah! A crafty break for me tomorrow and its back to studying getting ready for one exam late next week!! But enough about exams!!
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Simon Says Stamp
I've been seeing a few people using Ranger's Perfect Pearls and I have been really wanting to use them as I have 4 colors. And this is the perfect time to use them as they are very fall colors!!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Simon Says Stamp

So I cut a stitched rectangle from black cardstock. With Ranger's Perfect Medium I stamped the solid leaves from Penny Black Foliage Fancy stamp set. I stamped them all over the cardstock. Then I used the different Perfect Pearls colors and added them to the watermark leaves. I used Perfect Copper, Gold, Bronze, and Pearl.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Simon Says Stamp

After whipping off the extra powder I stamped the outline leaves in Perfect Medium on each leaf. Then I added black embossing powder and heated it up. I went back in with a little bit of each of the pearls to do a little touch-up. It's hard to see in the photos but I really love the shine the powder gives off and the shine of the embossing powder.

With Simon Says Stamp Coffee Cup dies I cut a cup from Kraft cardstock. I used some distress ink to darken the cup and color the heart red. From the Kraft cardstock I cut a strip and stamped the sentiment Friendship Has its Perks from Simon Says Stamp What's Brewing stamp set.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Simon Says Stamp
I wrapped some black twine around the leaf panel and then added the sentiment strip. I tucked it the coffee cup behind the twine and then added the panel to a Kraft card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Art Impression Challenge #217 - Flowers & Foliage

Hello!

It's the second week of Art Impressions Challenge #217 - Flowers & Foliage! AI has several NEW Watercolor sets and to help celebrate all the DT is using some of the new sets to create there project featuring Flowers & Foilage!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions
My card uses the WC Bird Bath Set and WC Branches Set along with a couple older (but not really THAT old WC) sets, WC Sentiments and WC Birds Set. I started by die cutting some watercolor cardstock with a scalloped circle.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions

Then I went to town stamping and coloring!! I used AI's Stamp Positioner to help place the birdhouse, bird, and nest in just the right place! It really helps a lot!! I used just a few Distress Markers with the stamping and coloring! Kept it simple! I used: Fired Brick, Evergreen Bough, Vintage Photo, Gathered Twigs, Tumbled Glass, Peeled Paint. I just used my paintbrush and Peeled Paint on a clear block to add leaves to my tree branches!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions

While the scalloped circle was drying I made a 3.5 x 5 Kraft card base and found some matching pattern paper from Fancy Pants Wish Season.  I trimmed the paper so it was about 1/4 inches short on all sides. Then added it to the card base.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions

Then I added the stamped circle to the card with foam tape, trimming off the overhang. I stamped the Happiness Grows in the bottom right corner and lastly added a few white sequins.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you will stop by and play along with us!!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions
I started off by stamping the dog withholding the bear, doesn't he/she look warm and cozy and oh so cute?!?! I also stamped kleenex box and teacup. With my Spectrum Noir Markers, I colored them all up. I used DR1, DR6, DR7, IG1, IG2, JG5, JG6, TB4, TB5, TN2, TN3, TN4, TN6, Blender. Then I fussing cut out each image, leaving a small white border.

Next, I picked out some pattern paper from Echo Park Paper Co. Petticoats and Pinstripes pad. I went with a pink for the background and a lovely flower pattern strip. From a yellow and white pattern, I cut a circle.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions

After playing with the arrangement I went with putting the circle behind the flower pattern strip and then added the images with foam tape. To the right of the circle, I stamped the sentiment Heard it's Been Ruff.

2017 Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Hello!

It's time for the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!! Yay!!! It's been a touch warm the past day or two, but it was feeling very fall like before that!! I'm ready for the fall!! Make sure you link up your coffee card on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog!!

A new sponsor not only generously included a prize for the hop but also a coffee stamp set for the Design Team!! You can check out the But First Coffee set on their website!! Or buy it on scrapbook.com

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Echo Park Paper Co

This is a fabulous coffee set, it has two coffee images and five coffee themed sentiments, along with a tiny coffee bean image and a row dots! I'm going to be using it a lot!!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Echo Park Paper Co
I decided to create cute card set, perfect to give as a gift!! I started with 3.5 x 5-inch card bases from Kraft cardstock, my card set includes 5 cards so everything I did 5 times!!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Echo Park Paper Co

Next, I pulled out Fancy Pants Happy Go Lucky pattern paper pad and selected 5 different patterns that all went together. I trimmed each pattern so they were about 1/4 inches smaller than my card bases. With a circle dies, I cut 5 kraft circles.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Echo Park Paper Co
Then, with brown ink, I stamped the coffee cup from the set (using my MISTI to make stamping them a lot easier!!) With sharp scissors I fussy cut them all out leaving a small white border around them.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Echo Park Paper Co
To help decorate the cups I found that the small leaf from the Waffle Flowers Give Thanks stamp set was the perfect size. I die cut the leafs out and then stamped them with PTI's Ripe Avocado ink. With some twine, I tied tiny little bows and adhered them to the stems of the leafs. Then with foam adhesive, I added each leaf to each of the coffee cups, then adhered the cups to the Kraft circles.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Echo Park Paper Co
With the help of my MISTI, I stamped each of the sentiments on the different pattern paper panels. The MISTI helped so I could stamp multiple times on the more busier patterns! Then I just adhered the panels to each of the Kraft card bases!

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Don't forget link up your FALL inspired coffee card!!

Hello!!

I'm on the Art Impressions today! Fall is around the corner and the new Girlfriend set Latte Love is perfect for fall and winter!! I went with fun colors because fall doesn't mean that you have to go with dark colors!!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions

I started by stamping the image on white cardstock and then using my Spectrum Noir Markers to color it. I used: BG3, BG6, BG10, BP1, BT3, BT4, BT5, CR1, CR3, CR4, CT1, CT4, DR1, DR6, DR7, EB5, EB6, GT2, GT3, JG4, OR1, OR4, PP2, PP4, PP5, PP6, TN2, TN3, TN4, TN5, TN7.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions

I fussy cut out the image leaving a small white border. For the sentiment, I stamped it on a strip of white cardstock. Then I cut some pattern paper from Pink Paislee's Take Me Away with a stitched rectangle. With adhesive I added the sentiment to the pattern paper panel, trimming off the over hang.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions

To spice up the card a bit I added the rectangle at quite an angled. All but one corner were over the card edges, those got trimmed off. Last I just added the image with foam tape.

Happy Stamping!!

Art Impressions Challenge #216 - Off Kilter

Hello!

It's the second week of Art Impressions Challenge #216! The challenge is to have something Off Kilter! AI also has a new Halloween release! Lots of great new Halloween stamps!! My card features the Happy Haunting stamp set!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions
I decided to go Off Kilter with my pattern papers! I picked out a few different patterns and cut them into 2-inch strips. Then I layered them over a card base, just so I would know that they all covered the card base okay. With liquid adhesive, I added glue to parts that over hanged other patterns, this way all the strips adhered to each other.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions

Then I set it aside to dry and then stamped the adorable owls from the Happy Haunting set. I used my Spectrum Noir Markers to color them! I used DG3, DP2, DP4, DP4, EB1, EB2, EB6, IG6, IG8, IG10, MB1, MB3, MB4, RB1, RB2, RB3. With sharp scissors, I fussy cut out the owls.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions

When the pattern papers were dry I adhered the off kilter patterns to a white card base, let that dry and then trimmed off the over hang. From white cardstock, I die cut a banner and stamped the Happy Haunting sentiment.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions

I added the banner and the owls to the card with foam tape. The card needed a little something so added a few orange, clear and black rhinestones.

Art Impressions & Marvy Product Swap!

Hello!!

I'm on the Art Impressions blog today and this week we are doing a product swap with Marvy and I have not one, but two cards to share with you today!! I paired a bunch of Marvy products with AI's Udderly Fantastic stamp set.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions

I started by using the Easy Chalkboard Marker on heavy cardstock and on a think chipboard like material. This pen is amazing, basically, make a chalkboard out of anything!! I just used it on paper but I can imagine it would be awesome on other materials, too!! I did two layers on the heavy card stock and chipboard and both held up wonderfully!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions

When it was all dry, I die cut the chalkboard paper with a stitched rectangle, then placed a Heidi Swapp stencil over the panel. With Bistro Chisel Chalk Marker set I basically used the stencil as a guide to make my circles. I set the panel aside to dry.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions

Next, I stamped the jumping cow twice, since I am making two cards. To color the cow I used Marvy's Le Pluma markers, they are permanent alchohol based ink and I was impressed on how well these colors blended! I used OR823, OR821, OR822, OR820, R810, 812. For the spots, I used my Spectrum Noir markers, GY2, GY5 and for the skirt, I used IG5, IG6, IG8. I also used the chalk markers on the ballons, hat and skirt trim to help tie it in with the background.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions
For this card, I used the Bistro Chalk Marker Broad Tip markers. I actually made this background first. I found that I used to much chalk ink and it would leak under the stencil. I still liked to look, less perfect can be nice too! I used the Minz Pointz Circles from The Crafter's Workshop.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions

For both cards, I die cut a whtie circle and added it to each panel. I also die cut two banners and stamped the sentiments. I added the banners and the images with foam tape.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions

Since my backgrounds are made with chalk markers and can be easily scraped off I would suggest using a clear scealer like modge podge or similar. I don't have any at hand so I can't give it try, but I would think that would keep the chalk in place!

Thank you so much for stopping by!!
