Sunday's Bits & Pieces #8

Happy Sunday!!

I hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday. A little bit raining here, but at least i don;t feel guilty crafting all day!!  Today i have a super quick card for Sunday's Bits & Pieces, it also ties in with CAS-ural Friday's Tie One On Challenge.  I have been very busy this week working on cards for PaperCrafts Stamping Royalty Contest and some baby shower goodies for a friends sister. I'm making place cards and a banner, she is having a little girl later this year. It is going to be so cute, but don;t worry i will take some pictures and show you when its done!!

Ok, enough talking lets get to the card. The CAS-ual challenge this week is to use ribbon. Well i have LOTs of ribbon! (all because of that crafty hoarder in me, you never know when you'll NEED that exact color of ribbon, right?!?! :)  )  Along with plenty of ribbon i have lots of pieces of ribbon, ones that are not small enough to throw away and can be used ( I swear!!). So i have a jar that i put them in and i look there first when i need ribbon. So i grabbed the ribbon jar and used several pieces to make a rainbow of sorts card.

It's super easy, i laid out a few choices and when i was happy with the placement i used double sided tape and adhered them to the card. Last i stamped the sentiment You Color My World in black ink. That's it!

This is great way to use up your ribbon scraps, i think i will make a set with a birthday sentiment and use up more ribbon!

Have a great day!!

  4. I love ribbon - this is a great idea for all the scraps I've been hoarding ;)
Have you ever tried using a lighter to quickly seal the frayed edges of ribbon? Super easy and it gives a nice, clean edge :)
